In 2015 we started Print & Friends as an artist collaborative. Since then we've participated in numerous exhibitions, held workshops in various schools and institutions, curated exhibitions, published artist books and editioned works by other artists and overseen various other projects. Our practise is a multi-layered operation, working with museums, galleries, artists, curators, designers, educators and for each project manifesting itself to fit the context. It is a creative, interesting and playful way to work, crossing the boundaries of business, service, art and education.
Print & Friends is run by visual artists Leifur Ýmir Eyjólfsson and Sigurður Atli Sigurðsson. Without a permanent location it inhabits two small studios in Kópavogur and Reykjavík, and sometimes the printmaking workshop of the Iceland University of the Arts, the Icelandic Printmakers Association, the Reykjavík Sculptors Society and the various locations (galleries, museums, schools) in collaboration at each moment.
